Dalai Lama Quote

One of his famous quotes was, "I believe all suffering is caused by ignorance. People inflict pain on others in the selfish pursuit of their happiness or satisfaction. Yet true happiness comes from a sense of peace and contentment, which in turn must be achieved through the cultivation of altruism, of love and compassion, and elimination of ignorance, selfishness, and greed." Unlike most Buddhists, he believes that all suffering comes from ignorance. He thinks if people are selfless, have love and compassion, and eliminate selfishness and greed, there will be a sense of peace and contenentment. He promotes world peace to the world, and beleives thoroughly in four different statements. Humanitarianism is the key to solving world problems, compassion is the pillar of world peace, all religions are good religions if they promote peace, and each and every human has the responsibility to help others. He also beleives everyone must have a good mental attitude to be a good person at all.
