Topic: Alexander the Great

Question #1Alexander the Great had two major impacts on India. The first one is that Greek and Indian cultures would intermix because of his conquests. The second impact on India is that he influenced the first great Indian conqueror, Chandragupta Maurya, who united all of northern India. The Indian culture might be different if not for Alexander. India might also still be split apart if not for Alexander influencing Chandragupta Maurya.
Alexander the Great's impact on India was he was he explored India up to the Indus river and captured the small tribe towns. How it is important today is he helped the civilizations after his know about India. That also then helped people that wanted to conquer India later on. He slowly had worked his way through the little part of India where the Indus is and captured all the towns along the river, Which led to trading with those towns so it might also have opened up new trade routes that people use today. Another thing that happened was that the Greeks and Indian culture intermixed so that was also a thing because he had began to capture India. The final thing that happened because Alexander invaded India was that he set stage for the first great Indian conqueror Chandragupta Maurya to unite all of India into one big empire. He united the India into the Mauryan empire. So those were the main things that happened because he invaded part of India.
